GLP-1 (7-36) amide - Hormones
Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) fragment (1-30) amide. GIP is an incretin hormone that stimulates insulin secretion and reduces postprandial glycaemic excursions. GIP (1-30) amide, human acetate dose-dependently promotes insulin secretion. The glucose-dependent action of GIP on pancreatic β-cells has suggested its use as a potential drug for type 2 diabetes.
