Disulfide bridges determination

sb-PEPTIDE has aquired a unique expertise in determining disulfide bridge(s) patterning of peptides. This expertise can be useful to study the structure of a natural peptide as well as to control the folding of a peptide.

With a strong trackrecord in the disulfide bridges pattern determination of natural peptides, sb-PEPTIDE can employ various technics such as mass spectrometry and/or NMR. In mass spectrometry, the peptide is partially reduced and alkylated thanks to a proprietary protocol to avoid the rearrangement of disulfide bonds during the process. By-products are analyzed in mass spectrometry and data analysis allows to reconstitute the disulfide bridge pattern.
