Integrin-binding cell adhesive peptide - Other Categories
Derived from fibronectin, integrin-binding cell adhesive peptide can be used as an adhesion ligand, it contains the cell binding motif RGD. Providing integrin-mediated cell adhesion is a valuable tool for a wide variety of research applications particularly in cell culture and implants. The integrin-binding cell adhesive peptide can also functionalise biomolecules. This has been successfully demonstrated by the generation of a protease-degradable hydrogel containing the integrin-binding cell adhesive peptide that can support skin formation in vitro. Integrin-binding cell adhesive peptide has also been used to form hydrogels to adhere numerous cell lines, for example to study extracellular vesicle secretion.
