Acetyl Tetrapeptide-15 (Skinasensyl®) is a neuro-cosmetic peptide that mimics the activity of Endomorphin-2, an endogenous μ-opioid receptor agonist. By binding to μ-opioid receptors on cutaneous sensory nerve endings, it reduces the release of pro-inflammatory neuropeptides (CGRP, Substance P) and raises the skin's tolerance threshold to external stimuli. It significantly reduces sensations of tingling, burning, and itching in reactive and hypersensitive skin. Ideal for post-procedure recovery, rosacea-prone, and cosmetically intolerant skin formulations.

Main characteristics

Acetyl Tetrapeptide-15 targets the neurogenic component of skin sensitivity, a mechanism distinct from classical anti-inflammatory peptides acting on cytokines. By modulating cutaneous nociception at the receptor level, it provides relief from the subjective experience of skin discomfort (stinging, burning) as well as visible reduction of redness. Stable at pH 4.0–7.5. Compatible with most sensitive-skin formulation bases. Produced via SPPS to ≥95% purity (HPLC + MS).
