Tyrosinase-inhibiting oligopeptide for brightening and anti-dark spot formulations

Oligopeptide-68 is a synthetic depigmenting oligopeptide beginning with the GRG sequence that acts as a tyrosinase inhibitor, reducing melanin production at the enzymatic level. The peptide provides brightening and anti-dark spot effects and is particularly effective in multi-active brightening formulations. It can be used in combination with receptor-level blockers (Nonapeptide-1) and other enzyme inhibitors (Decapeptide-12) for a comprehensive depigmenting system.

Main characteristics

Oligopeptide-68's GRG-containing sequence provides targeted tyrosinase inhibition via a peptide-enzyme interaction mechanism. This approach differs from classical tyrosinase inhibitors (kojic acid, arbutin) in its sequence specificity and better skin tolerability profile. Stable in aqueous formulations at pH 4.5–7.0. Compatible with vitamin C, niacinamide, and other brightening actives. Produced via SPPS to ≥95% purity (HPLC + MS).
