Laminin-5 derived hexapeptide promoting cell adhesion and basement membrane integrity

Hexapeptide-10 (Serilesine®) contains the bioactive SIKVAV sequence derived from Laminin-5, a key basement membrane glycoprotein. The peptide promotes integrin-mediated keratinocyte adhesion and migration along the dermo-epidermal junction, strengthening basement membrane structural support and improving epidermal renewal. By mimicking the cell adhesion domains of laminin, it activates integrins α3β1 and α6β4, supporting epidermal cohesion and long-term skin regeneration.

Main characteristics

Hexapeptide-10 addresses skin aging from the basement membrane perspective, a structural layer that anchors the epidermis to the dermis. By reinforcing integrin-mediated adhesion, it prevents epidermal detachment and improves skin mechanical resistance. Stable in aqueous formulations at pH 5.0–7.5. Compatible with standard serum and cream bases. Produced via SPPS to ≥95% purity (HPLC + MS).
